Associate Membership Application

Becoming an associate member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is quick and easy. Plus, it only costs $10 per year. Simply follow the instructions below to apply.

Thrivent Financial is a fraternal benefit society. As a fraternal, Thrivent Financial is required by charter to limit membership to Lutherans, eligible family members and others who meet the eligibility rules. If you have questions about membership eligibility, please contact us at (800) 847-4836.

Instructions for associate membership application

To apply online (Lutherans only)

Lutherans can apply and purchase family associate membership online in The Store.

Note: You must register for Lutherans Online before you apply online. If you prefer not to apply online, or if you are a non-Lutheran, you can print an application following the instructions below.

To apply by mail (Lutherans or non-Lutherans)

  1. To print an application for associate membership, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you do not have it, you can download a free copy and install it on your computer by clicking on "Download Adobe Acrobat Reader" below.

  2. Once installed, click on the Associate Membership Application link to view and print the application. We recommend using Acrobat's print icon as some browsers may not print the complete form.

  3. Complete the application for each eligible member of your family. Eligible family members, including children age 16 or over, need to sign the application where indicated.

  4. There is an annual $10 membership fee per family. Fill out a check or money order for $10 payable to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

    Note: The fee is waived if a family member in the household has a financial relationship with Thrivent Financial.
